Laid Off Lawn Care

The weather is getting warmer, which means it’s time to get that yard ready for spring and summer. I’m Scott Briggs, long-time Memphis bartender and garden enthusiast.

Like most of your friendly, neighborhood bartenders in town, I have been temporarily displaced from my job. I’ve been in the restaurant industry in Memphis for 20 years, working in restaurants from Collierville to Downtown. I currently pour cocktails Downtown, and have also spent the last couple years as an aviation student.

I have always enjoyed yard work, and gardening has been a hobby of mine for over a decade. I’m a former recipient of my neighborhood’s Yard of the Month award.
